John walked up to Shan."What's wrong?"He asked her in a whisper as he wrapped his arms around her.

"Run," she whispered in his ear. "Leave. Quick. Or they'll kill you too. I can smell him. Thirty-four year old sweaty male... Carrying Gomoran gold..."

"But...what about you?"He asked her worried about her safety.

"I can take him..." she said, although she didn't sound sure. Her ears caught a sound. She gasped and grabbed hold of him, knocking him to the ground. She blinked and looked at him. "Precarious situation..."

She got up.

John got up and then drew his guns. "I'll find you. Ok."He said and then moved on. He extended his wings and lifted off into the air not caring who saw him below.

A bullet wizzed past her and Shan turned. "Slayer," she muttered. "Guild."

She yelled and ran at him, leaping into the air and attempting to kick him.

John heard the gun shot and then looked down. "Shan."He said and then flew back to her. He landed out of sight on the roof of the building they had just had dinner in. "Sh*t no way I'm gonna have a clear shot.

He quickly hoped up and flew back to the locker not far off that he keep his weapons. He went in and grabbed a sniper rifle, and two more pistols. Stepping out the locker he shut it and flew back to Shan.

Her foot connected with his chest, sending the hunter sprawlign. "Sure as boy scouts sing around fires, there's no such thing as vampires. Biting necks and drinking blood, And all the rest isn't good."

John flew back to the scene and hovered in the air. He pulled his sniper up and loaded it. He quickly aimed it and prepared to shoot the hunter.

Shan kicked the hunter and backed off, hearing the beat of John's wings.

John smirked and fired his shot the moment he saw it. He watched the hunter fall to the ground a clean shot to the back of his head. John shouldered his rifle and then landed in the trees out of sight. Tucking in his wings he ran out to Shan.

Shan looked at the body. Then at him. He saved her life. She ran to him. "Oh my god. Thank you!"

John smiled and shrugged when he saw the body. "Wasn't much trouble. I'm just surprised that my......home....isn't to far from here or I wouldn't been abld to make back in time." He said to her and then looked over and the people staring. "Let's go, we can talk when are in a place with less bystanders."He said as he took her hand and pulled her along back into Central Park.

Shan nodded. SHe looked at the bystanders, her eyes becoming that yellowy-green. "You saw nothing," she said, her voice mesmerising. And then she went weak. "L-let's go..."

She stumbled behind him and went on.
