Diner

[Shan]

Shan looked around as she walked in. The flourescent lights hurt her eyes a little and she was forced to look at the linoleum floor.

[Dylan]

John looked over to Shan and saw that the lights were forcingher to look down. He removed his glasses revealing his golden yellow eyes and handed his glasses to her. "Here Shan. You'll be able to see with them."He said to her.

[Shan]

Shan nodded. "Thanks," she said and took them. She put them on over her green irises and looked around. "Did we go all the way to the fifties or something? You Americans never seem to move on with the times with places like this..."

[Dylan]

"Honestly I dont follow the times anyway. I just go places, do stuff, and move on. That's what I've been doing the past year."He said to her as he led her to an empty table and pulled her chari out for her.

[Shan]

"Thank you," she said politely as she sat. She reached for the menu.

[Dylan]

"Your welcome."John said as he sat down in the seat across from her. He grabbed a menu himself but really he didn't need it. He wasn't much of a picky eater at all.

[Shan]

"I'm gonna go for a burger," Shan said.

[Dylan]

"I'm gonna go with half the menu."John said.

[Shan]

Shan laughed. "Alright."

[Dylan]

"Dont worry I'll pay for the meal."John said assuring her so she wont go broke because of his appetite.

[Shan]

Shan laughed. "I can pay for my own. Besides, we could get a mlea for free. All I got to do, is h-hypnotise the waitress," she said, stuttering slightly on the word 'hypnotised.'

[Dylan]

"Ok then..."John said raising an eyebrow but not asking any question.

[Shan]

Shan sighed and looked around. "Waitress isn't going to be pleasant," she said, hearing the woman grumble as she came out the doors of the kitchen.

[Dylan]

John scoffed when he heard that the waitress wasn't going to be a happy camper. "I'll just tell her off."John muttered.

[Shan]

"She needs something to restraing that mouth of hers. She doesn't ook like a sailor or a trucker."

[Dylan]

"Shock could work. But I dont feel like dealing with security."John said indicating that he had his guns and had just keep them hidden from the other people.

[Shan]

"Let me handle it. The only thing about hynosis, and it won't apply here, is that you can't hypnotise soemone you're in love with."

[Dylan]

"Good to know."John said smirking at her just as the waitress came over to them.

[Shan]

"Whaddaya want?" said the waitress unpleasantly.

Shan looked up at her and fixed her gaze. Her green eyes turned a yellowy-green and her pupils were tiny. "Bring us what we order and be pleasant about it."

The waitress' face dulled and when Shan blinked, she returned to normal. "Hi there! My name is Darla and I'm your waitress this evening. What can I get you?"

[Dylan]

John held up the menu and basically said, "I'll have everything on these two pages except the alcohol."

[Shan]

"Hamburger, please," Shan said.

The waitress went away with the order, smiling cherrily.

"I hate doing that," Shan said. She'd gotten paler and her voice shook a little. She put her hand against her forehead and it was visibly obvious that Shan was shaking a little.

[Dylan]

John saw her go paler and start shaking. "You gonna be ok."John asked her then look in his eyes shifting to something close to caring.

[Shan]

"I'm... It takes a lot out of you when you can't drink human blood. The thought repuses me," Shan said, not looking upand trying to stop shaking.

[Dylan]

"What about my blood then? I dont really consider myself a human."John asked her.

[Shan]

"I don't know. But I can't lose it," Shan said, still not looking up. "I can't lose this."

She was referring to whatever it was keeping her at least a little human. She hated her new status as a blood thirsty demon. Well.... Vampire.
