Shan laughed shortly. She smiled at him and leaned towards him. "You know... That's something we have in common. Shan was wearing a silver dog tag round her neck. It dangled in front of him. It bore just her name in cursive script on the back and on the front, a black dragon was engraved into the metal.

"Thanks," she said. She held it up. "That's the Welsh dragon. I got this from... from my father..."

Her voice went quiet and she looked away.

John raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything when Shan turned away. Having never had anyone he could call his family he didn't know the feeling of possibly losing a parent or sibling. He walked over so that he was standing in front of her and then gently he wrapped her in a hug.

Shan froze. "Wh-what are you doing?" she asked, a little more than surprised. She sniffed and hugged back, bursting into tears.

Shan looked up at him. She thought she must have looked terrible. That her face looked ugly because she was crying and that her skin had gone red and blotchy.

John looked dpwn at her and then brought his hand to her face and wiped some tears from her cheek. He decided to take a chance and leaned down. Softly he kissed her.

Shan didn't breath but if she did, she'd have gasped. She was clueless at that moment and just let her eyes flutter closed.

John continued to kiss her but then broke to the kiss and pulled away from her.

Shan moved backwards, narrowly avoiding, tripping over her chair. She stared at him.

"What was that about?" she asked. There it was again. That spark she felt when she shook his hand. She stared at her good hand for a second then looked back.

"You just... Just..." Shan didn't know how to finish her sentence. She floundered, trying to think of an ending.

"Yeah," she said and looked at him. She tried to see his eyes. That electrical buzz was making her hand weird.

John's heart raced a mile a second. He tried to keep from looking at her cause he just didn't know what he was feeling right now

John looked up at her and after a few moments he started to chuckle. "Yeah I figured you could."He said and then looked back up to her. "Do you need any blood?" He asked.

John got up and then walked over and grabbed a cup and a knife. He sat back down next to her and then cut his hand and let a good amount of blood drip into the cup. He grabbed the first aid kit and then wrapped up his hand. He Handed her the cup of blood.

She sniffed it, her eyes on the walls. She drank it. When she finished, she wiped her mouth and smiled at him sheepishly with fanged teeth. They retracted and she looked away. "This is awkward, huh... Do you always kiss girls you're trying to patch up?"
