Shan trudged around the soggy hill and looked up at the stars. She tutted and went to find her next victim. She hated that. She crouched and waited.

I fly over head with no real purpose. I spot a person (Shan) and land softly behind her

My ears picked up a noise behind me. I looked. "Who the blood and garlic are you?"

I almost laugh. "Blood and Garlic?"

"Yes. Blood. And garlic," I said, sniffing a little. His scent is... strange...

I notice a small pebble behind her. I focus on it with my mind and force it to hit Shan

The stone connected with the back of my head. I turned to see what that was, yelling out a little. "WHAT THE-?!"

When she turns around I take flight and hover over her head

I heard odd noises and became scared. I turned. The winged guy was... gone. I gulped and bolted, running as fast as I could... and with super speed, that was easy.

I laugh and follow Shan

I ran through a council estate. I was at the top of a hill that was lined with houses and streets. I ran down the mainroad, that scent following me.

I look around me as I followed her "What is this place" I say to my self

[Shan]

I stopped at a level part of the hill, taking in deep and un-needed breathes. "Shoot..." I said, standing up. I looked up at the sky and fell to my knees. I saw him. He was flying... "What do you want from me? Just leave me alone. I don't want to be this way."

"What are you?" I look around

[Shan]

"I could ask the same to you!" I shot back. "I'm a vampire. What the hell are you?"

[Trevor Grey]

"Did the scientists do it to you?"

[Shan]

Intrigued, I looked at him. Softly, I said, "No. What scientists?"

I shake my head, disappointed "The ones who did this to me" I spread my wings to show her

"They're beautiful," I said to him, my voice quiet. "I can fly... Ish. It's a vampire thing. I'm 16 so I have my full powers."

I nod "They make me different"

"I agree," I said. "I don't want to be a vampire... but it saved my life... And I gotta find someone called Vlad... That makes me different. I have a purpose. A goal, if you'd rather."

I nod "I can help you!"

I smiled at him. "If you wish."

I land next to her "Where do we start?"

"That's the thing. I don't know. It sounds like... Like... Well, don't laugh. His name is Vlad Dracula... The fourth."
